Pharaoh's Hard Heart

I had two highlights while studying Exodus. The first was learning that the plagues God sent upon Egypt were not random plagues, but they actually confronted the Egyptian god's. God was proving that He's more powerful than all the god's of Egypt.

The second was about Pharaoh's Hard Heart. Picture a clay brick and brick of butter on a flat surface. The effects of the sun on the two bricks produce different results. It's both a softening force and a hardening force. The result is based on what they're made of as clay responds differently than butter. The sun is how we think about God and the confronting presence of God is likened to an oven. God confronts Pharaoh and his heart is hardened. The fact that his heart was hardened tells us that it was already hard(like the clay brick). God's a gentleman and He was knocking at Pharaoh's heart's door. We have to ask Him in. God wants hearts to respond to Him the the brick of butter (Moses's heart).

Beauty is in The Eye of the Beholder

This beholder loves the snow on the mountains, blossoms, and sandy beach! My toes LOVED being in the sand!

Fantastic colors for my eyes to drink in!

He's On The Move

I was walking around in the trees the other day and happened upon this scene. A seed has been hiding out this winter and has been given enough nutrition and warmth to sprout! I see this parallel my own life with God where He's giving me fresh/new relation which is FREEING! Even in the waiting He's working in my life.

Sights and Sounds of Village Life in Georgia 2015

I took a walk in the public pasture area almost everyday to stretch my legs. It was a great place to watch the sunrise and start my day! Small herds of cow would be out grazing in the pasture. Some of the cow wore bells and it was a lovely sound to hear!
