Longwood Gardens - PA

Visiting friends in lovely Pennsylvania! I hadn't seen most of my friends in 10 years and it was good to meet their families and farms! 

One friend and I visited the vast Longwood Gardens! Outside there wasn't much in bloom aside from crocuses in the lawn!

Flash Back of Spain!

Arriving to class for the first day! We had a good 10-15min walk to class and back! It was really nice to have  the exercise in the morning and evening since we were in a classroom all day.  I LOVED that it was OUT of the city. We could see the city, but weren't IN it! We had a great view of the fields on our walks to class!

Our welcome breakfast! This is the dinning area. It's rather squishy - but there were a few tables outside where people could eat when it wasn't raining, too windy or too cold. Check out that view!!!!

Cooking in Vancouver!

The Staff I cooked for! Another Staff Training week was going on in ASIA at  the EXACT time of this one! A small little country had over 40 staff members in training - so we swapped pictures! How exciting! Check out the cherry blossoms above our heads! 

I know you're all jealous! Everyone wants to cook in a mint green kitchen! Ah, ha, ha!!!!

Frozen in Time

One week ago we had snow and freezing rain - which makes everything look frozen in time! Cell phone pictures don't turn out the greatest, but it WAS beautiful!

I'm so thankful for seasons! Love the beauty of the freezing rain and the promise of spring!

Spring is on it's way!!!!

"Check me out!"

It's kind of rare, but this winter we've had a lot of clear sunny and cool days. On this particular morning at dawn I saw bright pink highlighting the dark clouds. I raced to get dressed, grabbed my breakfast, Bible, and journal and drove a few minutes away to get a view of the sunrise. I wasn't disappointed in the least! I had breakfast and had a quiet time with a stunning view! 

Last year a friend of mine would often use the phrase - God's like "Check me out!" whenever she saw a fabulous view! I've adopted that one often!

Stunning Views… in my Backyard!

 Feeling pretty blessed to be able to live in a place with family, friends, and fantastic views that take my breath away often. It makes me want to be still and drink it all in. 

Was able to catch these mountains as the sun was setting!

This could be a postcard in my mind! 

Eagle Watch

Going back to November for a moment here….

November is when the salmon are running up stream, spawning, and dying. Fact of life, but it's a perfect time for a feast for eagles! 

Lots of salmon in the creeks.

Hundreds of eagles(seagulls and crows too) gather to feast! The large white thing is a swan!

They are flying around, eating, or perched in a tree. We think there were mostly bald eagles with quite a few immature ones.

A walk in the woods! 

Mom and I romping around! She's loved doing this ever since I was a kid. This woman's got sharp eagle eyes!

Easily one of my favourite places!
